Next Friday 10 May 2024, at 6.00 pm, at the Boncontro Library in Chieti Scalo, Piazza S. Pio 59, there will be the second meeting organized by the MASCI Chieti 1 Community for the “Stories of May” cycle. Giustino Angeloni, former President of Chieti Calcio and today President of the Teatro Marrucino Theater Deputation, will talk about a book he wrote several years ago and which was very successful: “Nemmene le sumende”. An autobiographical book that talks about the childhood lived by the author in the Civitella district of Chieti. The era in which keys were left inserted in the doors of the house, in which children played in the street and strengthened their character and physique. Giustino also talks about his attachment to the Chieti football team since he was a boy and remembers that the stadium where they played football was right there, in his neighbourhood. And this favored the proximity of the population to the Chieti team. A fresco of a time close by, but light years away from today’s world. A reality made of essentiality but in which one could perceive a basic serenity, a sacred fear of God, a life lived in one of the most historic districts of the city.
