Great success last Wednesday for the national “premiere” of “I wanted to play in Lazio”, the book on Vincenzo D’Amico, written by Gianluca Atlante and published by Lab Dfg. At the Circolo Cittadino of Latina, in the heart of the city, many people who embraced the champions of a wonderful Lazio, such as Giancarlo Oddi present together with the sons of Luciano Re Cecconi, Felice Pulici, Tommaso Maestrelli and Pino Wilson. Also present was the eagle Olimpia with her falconer Juan Bernabè and Bruno Giordano, who edited the preface of the book. As well as naturally the entire D’Amico family, led by their son Matteo, his brother Rosario and their ex-wives, Elena and Simona.
Vincenzo D’Amico, “O’rey of Piazza Roma”, his innate talent, the great number 10 in the history of our football who did not combine his talent with the blue of the national team. The Salesian oratory of his city, loved and defended: Latina. Lazio, the knee injury, the Scudetto at nineteen with a “damned” team, the quick trip to Turin, the grenade side, the return to the bedside of a Lazio at the mercy of rough seas. The two goals in an unequal Derby, the three against Varese to avoid Serie C, the family, the children and the love for Simona, the companion of the last trip, from Portugal to paradise. The family, brother Rosario and sons Matteo and Niccolò. The story of a man capable of lighting up grass and pozzolana fields like daylight. The novel of a footballer from times gone by. The book is on sale in all bookshops in Lazio and Italy and on various online messengers starting with Amazon.
