Resting on books: two literary benches inaugurated

In 2016 the municipal library entered the Brescia Est Library System, and since then there has been an uninterrupted growth in readers and books. The Municipality of Remedello celebrated in a big way its citizens’ passion for books and reading, placing two beautiful literary benches, one themed “Alice in Wonderland” and one for the “Little Prince”.

The Mayor, Simone Ferrari, and the Deputy Mayor, Elisa Galuppini, personally explained the reasons that pushed the administration to work to realize the project: «Our library has grown so much in recent years, so much so that the number of users and the number of book collections have doubled from 2019 to 2023. This success was achieved thanks to all the readers, large and small, who took advantage of the services made available and appreciated the commitment made. It is thanks to all of you that Remedello has obtained the coveted title of “city that reads” for 2 years».

The benches were created thanks to the contribution of three local companies, Fiolini srl, Moglia srl and Pergeo srl. One was positioned in Remedello Sotto, the other in Remedello Sopra. The inauguration ceremony, a real party, was held on Tuesday, in the presence of many boys and girls.
