Torre S.Susanna: Presentation of the book “The legends of cycling

The itinerant cycle of the Taberna Libraria of Latiano continues, doubling with the appointment the amarcord event which intertwines culture, history, music and sport which have characterized one of the most popular and loved competitive disciplines in the country in history: cycling.

An evening focused on the fascinating world of champions on the pedals, thanks to the precious ideas reported in the book “The Legends of Cycling. From Gerbi to Pantani, many great stories on two wheels” by Beppe Conti (Edizioni Diarkos) in the name of those who, riding his bicycle, wrote some of the most beautiful pages of Italian sporting history and of those who followed in the footsteps of the greats champions continue to fill the pages of time with their triumphs. Tuesday 23 April 2024 starting from 7.00 pm at the “Dott.ssa Caterina Formosi” Municipal Library, in Torre Santa Susanna, “The Legends of Cycling” will be staged, an event organized by the Latian cultural container, strongly supported by the Mayor of Torre Santa Susanna Michele Saccomanno and by the President of the Municipal Council of Torre Santa Susanna Susanna Di Maggio.

The event, which is part of the meetings with the author of the Primavera dei Libri review, will be hosted by the Brindisi journalist Nico Lorusso, supported by the events area manager of Taberna Libraria Paolo Legrottaglie, and will see the presence of the “Cystic Fibrosis” Delegation .

The invitation is therefore open to all those interested in participating in this intense moment of narration and discussion on the theme of cycling which marked an era, the rediscovery of that eternal charm of the sport of two wheels which unfolds through the stories of the protagonists more representative, full of anecdotes, memories and rivalries; an important look at that splendid caravan of professional cycling that has always colored the streets. An event specially designed to breathe the air of the great stage races that promises entertainment.
