In the framework of the Turin Book Fair 2024 (9 – 13 May), Zerocalcare will hold a meeting with the public during which, among other things, it will present its new comic: When you die, it remains with me.
The Zerocalcare event, which is one of the most important and attractive among the great offer proposed by the organization of the Book Fair, will be held on Saturday 11 May from 3.30pm to 4.30pm in the Auditorium of the Congress Center of Lingotto Fiere, a place historically dedicated to meetings with a large public presence. To access it you will need to have a ticket for the festival, can be purchased online here. There will be approximately 500 free seats, without the need for reservations.
When you die, it remains with mewhich will be published by Bao Publishing on May 7 (but can already be purchased at this link), takes inspiration once again from the author’s real life: in it, in fact, Zerocalcare deals with the relationship with his father for the first time.
It is also the first completely unpublished comic book by Zerocalcare da No Sleep Till Shengal, published in 2022, which instead recounted the situation of the Ezidis, a population settled in northern Iraq, who survived the ISIS genocide and therefore decided to attempt an experience of democratic self-government like their Kurdish brothers. The book had achieved great success with the public and had won the Terzani Prize.
