Enrico Pacini talks with the author.
In collaboration with the Mondadori bookshop in Oristano

The book – “South Boston, a rough neighborhood in the capital of Massachusetts: ever since young Sam escaped from the horrible orphanage where he spent the first years of his life, the street had become his home. He had no roots, having been abandoned at birth, and had found the only semblance of family in his friendship with Drew, who had become almost an older brother to him, who tried to teach him how to live and pass on his great passion for basketball. The sport of basketball, however, struggles to gain Sam’s liking initially, but gradually gains his interest, especially thanks to the exploits of the great NBA champions. The meeting with Professor James and his love for the game can perhaps promise, in its various forms, the opportunity for social redemption and a brighter future if the boy demonstrates that he really wants to make a change to his present ”

Francesco Rivano was born in 1980 in the deep south of Sardinia and grew up in Carloforte, the only inhabited center on the island of San Pietro. Graduated in Economics and Commerce from the University of Cagliari, he returns to his beloved island where he lives, works and cultivates his great passion for writing.
Surrounded by the sea and fascinated by sport, he was suddenly overwhelmed by the love of basketball. He collaborated as an editor with some online magazines that mainly deal with NBA basketball, an experience that led him to develop the skills to write and publish his first work: “Ricordi al basket” linked to the history of basketball.
