New Normalities, spaces, architecture and people: the exhibition involving 100 Italian design studios arrives in Schio – exhibition + three talk sessions curated by AIAC

Schio (VI), talks: 3 and 4 May + exhibition: 3-12 May

The adventure continues “New Normalities”the cycle of exhibitions curated by AIAC – Italian Association of Architecture and Criticism which, after Selinunte, finds a temporary home in Schio, in the province of Vicenza, before moving on to Rome and, again, to Favara (Ag).

Created in collaboration with the Order of Architects of the province of Vicenza, the exhibition – with the subtitle “Spaces, architecture and people” – will examine, through works recently created in Italy, the radical changes in public and private spaces determined by external causes.

From Covid-19 to digitalisation, up to the change in family units and the aging of the population, the exhibition will highlight new ways of occupying space, placing people are at the center of reflection. The architectures, in fact, are not presented as empty and abstract scenes, but rather analyzed starting from their actual use, to stimulate reflection and debate on our contemporaneity.

The layout, curated by RIAT Archidecor, is linear and easy to read large tables made specifically to accommodate a hundred notebookseach of which is dedicated to a project chosen and laid out by the architectural firm responsible for the work.

During the exhibition, a jury made up of architecture critics and journalists will select the projects deemed most interesting which will be publicized through communication in the IoArch and Profession newspaperstorchitetto.it, as well as on social media.
