At the home of Alberto Nespoli and Alessia Bossi

The sofa, beautiful in the center of the living room, is obviously occupied. “As with every self-respecting edition of the Salone del Mobile, we host designers, architects and creatives from all over the world at our home. Our home is not only a crossroads of interesting minds, but it is also in a strategic place during Design Week.”

Not far from Low Barthe 135 square meter residence on the first floor in the district of Porta Venezia welcomes the creative couple formed by Alberto Nespoli of Eligo Studio and Alessia Bossi of We Are Lovers and, for almost two years, the new small tenant of the house Ennio.

“This 1900s building not only houses the three of us, but also writers, architects and intellectuals. I’ll let you imagine our condominium meetings: they are never banal. Of course, during the Show it is the area that transforms, even if those are no longer those interesting times when Philippe Stark he found himself chatting with Jasper Morrison. The great noise remains, but he has lost that identity. I also believe that it is a cyclical issue, I am there areas that are reborn, they go into fashion, become commercial and then come back into fashion. Or maybe it’s me, at 43, who has different needs.”

Alberto Nespoli tells us, advises and suggests what to do and see.

“The Porta Venezia district with the Maiocchi Space it is always interesting because it offers a certain type of panorama and vision that is not at all obvious, you may like it or not, but it is certainly something different. Convey, a new location in the Farini area, is a micro district that is emerging. Then follow the rumors about good things which, if true, will give you surprises. Instead we, among other things, will do an installation at Villa Mozart, together with our Creative Academy, in the same location as Doppia Firma. Here’s if I can make a further suggestion: go and see what’s inside historical buildings, which are usually closed to the public. Use the Salon as it is: a door opener to the beauty of the past”.

Even for Bossi Nespoli, history is fundamental, “In fact it is our starting point. Even if Alessia and I like to break with that approach, follow contemporary influences and create tensions”.

Fifty-fifty: the resins and anthracite reflect the new, while the parquet, laid and worn, smells of another era, like the original doors, recovered from a neighbour’s cellar.

THE tones are relaxing from a chromatic point of view, the lime on the walls gives different softness and tactility. Brings great light into the home and transforms the space into a place of relaxation. The bathroom, for example, is a real salle de bain which is located where the kitchen used to be. For us, home is family, protection from the outside world, space for couples, relaxation, time with friends. Especially those who sleep on the sofa, in the magical comings and goings of the Milanese Design Week”.
