A new installation has been inserted at Maxxi, the first national museum dedicated to contemporary creativity. From April 10th the theme of new works concerns female artists between 1956 and 2010. One in particular has aroused particular curiosity on social media, “Don’t miss a sec”, the work created by Monica Bonvicini.
Artificial Hell, the exhibition by Riccardo Boccuzzi, arrives at MAXXI
The work
The work of Monica Bonvicini, “Don’t miss a sec” also arrives in Rome after having enjoyed great success in London, Switzerland and Holland. The installation portrays a bathroom with external windows. It might seem like a simple thing put there almost by chance but in reality it hides a deeper meaning. The artist offers a minimalist space for a public restroom with a 360-degree view of the surroundings through crystal clear glass. According to the artist, in fact, even during ‘intimate moments’ the user must not miss a second of what happens out on the street.
Hours
The installation is located at Maxxi in via Guido Reni 4a. The facility is closed on Mondays, while it is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
Until
The exhibition AMBIENTI 1956-2010, which concerns works made by women, began on April 10th and will end on October 20th 2024.
