The novel features two brothers, Pietro and Massimo, belonging to a wealthy family; Theirs is a happy childhood, cradled by the aging of a bourgeois life, which undergoes a violent interruption on a 1976 autumn day, with the arrest of the father, renamed by the media “The monster of the Cinque Terre”.
