The book starts from Bologna, in 2047 The case immediately presents itself difficult to solution. It is a skeleton, and the clues are scarce. However, the investigation will lead him to a 94 -year -old former photographer, Toni Rinaldi, who lives in a small town in Romagna. The meeting will not produce significant novelties, so Nicodemus decides to archive the practice. But some time later he receives a package that contains a dictiloscript, entitled Bologna Cowboy, illustrated by a quantity of photos that Nicodemus, the man of a time when the past has been canceled, finds crazy. And the reading of that text, whose author is Rinaldi himself, will change his life forever. The narrative expedient of starting the novel in 2047 and ending it in 2117 creates further tension to the reader, which is faced with a mixing of history and fiction, past and ucronia, in the name of a resistance that is constantly reborn.
