President Mattarella awarded three plaques for collective actions of young and very young people
The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarellaawarded 29 Certificates of Honor of “Standard of the Republic”. Solidarity for the environment and culture it is the prevailing theme that inspired the choice of the young Alfieri in 2023. The floods which hit the territory in 2023, in particular Romagna and Tuscany, “have once again brought to light the altruism, generosity and sense of community of many young people”.
President Mattarella also awarded three plaques for collective actions of young people and very young people who have expressed the values of solidarity with great force.
A plaque went to a class of one Campi Bisenzio middle school.

For civil commitment in emergencies
“They cleaned up the school premises, invaded by water and mud, with dedication and commitment. When the flood hit their area in Tuscany hard, the students of class 2C of the “F. Matteucci” secondary school did not they hesitated, like many other kids, to do their part to revive their community and the places of daily life. On that occasion, the kids worked with a great sense of responsibility and solidarity only in the school premises: many have in fact hosted classmates at home who were forced to abandon their homes because they were flooded”, the motivation
