Weather in Bergamo, two days of relief before the disturbance

Bergamo. We are approaching the end of April and the weather in Bergamo offers a couple of days of relief before the arrival of a new disturbance that will envelop the entire province on May 1st. Ivan Malaspina from the Lombard Weather Center accompanies us to see what the weather will be like in the next few hours and days.

Synoptic analysis
The temporary expansion of an anticyclonic structure from the Mediterranean to Eastern Europe favors a general improvement in the weather for today and tomorrow also in our region.
However, the advancement towards Sardinia of a depression vortex, driven by the largest depression structure in the United Kingdom, prepares the arrival of a new worsening, which will bring widespread rain across Lombardy on Wednesday and Thursday.
Temperatures will undergo a significant increase between today and tomorrow thanks to the sunshine, while a new decrease is expected from Wednesday.

Monday 29 April 2024
Estimated time: partly cloudy in the morning over Varesotto, Lario and Valchiavenna, slightly cloudy over the rest of the region. In the afternoon slightly or partially cloudy in all areas with the possibility of some showers in the Pre-Alps. In the evening and at night, partially cloudy skies over the entire region, but without phenomena.
Temperatures: highs rising. In the plains, minimum temperatures mostly range between 10 and 12°C, with higher values ​​in the densely urbanized areas of the Milanese area; maximum temperatures generally between 22 and 24°C. Thermal zero slightly rising and around 2800 meters in the central hours of the day in free atmosphere.
Winds: weak variables in the plains. Weak winds from the south/east at 1500 meters and weak from the south at 3000 metres.

In the evening clouds increasing everywhere from west to east, with first rains in Varesotto, Lario and Pavese, also extending to the Milanese area.

In the plains, minimum temperatures mostly range between 11 and 13°C, with higher values ​​in the densely urbanized areas of the Milanese area; maximum temperatures generally between 24 and 26°C. Thermal zero stable and around 2900 meters in the central hours of the day in free atmosphere.
Winds: weak eastern in the plains. Weak winds from the south/east at 1500 meters and moderate from the south at 3000 meters.

Estimated time: in the morning large clearings in the upper Valtellina, clouds in the rest of the region, with rain in the Prealps and the central-western plain, more significant in the Pavia area. In the afternoon, many clouds in all sectors with widespread precipitation, more continuous in the Pre-Alps and the western plain. In the evening, clouds and precipitation persist across the entire region, more continuous in the western sectors.
Temperatures: maximums decreasing. In the plains, minimum temperatures mostly range between 12 and 14°C, with higher values ​​in the densely urbanized areas of the Milanese area; maximum temperatures generally between 19 and 21°C. Thermal zero slightly decreasing and around 2700 meters in the central hours of the day in free atmosphere.
Winds: weak eastern in the plains. Moderate winds from the east at 1500 and 3000 meters.
