“Beyond the Nile”, Bertoldi’s works dedicated to Africa on display

New exhibition set up in the gallery Bertoldiarte for the first time after the Covid-19 pandemic: it is “Beyond the Nile” by Graziano Bertoldi, which exhibits around fifty works including paintings and sculptures created in 2024 and dedicated to Africa, to make the public reflect and travel through the visit route.

The paintings evoke the African traditions studied by the artist both in books and in the creations of authors such as Zulu, Fang, Idiong, Babua, Luba, which bring back an essential vision of existence. In Bertoldi’s works, natural elements such as flowers and fruits are combined with typically African representations which in some cases also recall motherhood.

A painting then pays homage to the missionary Cardinal Guglielmo Massaia, a charismatic personality to whom Cremona dedicated a street, where Bertoldiarte has been based since 1985. The exhibition will be open until June 26th at the following times: Monday to Friday 9am-12pm and 5pm-7pm, while Saturday and holidays 5pm-7pm.
