We know that nothing will stop Putin as he incorporates Ukraineto. It’s a threat to us too. We must clarify that today it is not acceptable for an autocrat to attack his neighbor. Borders must have a value. We must defend our democracies, if we no longer do so then we open the doors to autocrats, I am struck by how cohesive European countries have proven to be. They understood that what is at stake are our core values. We must invest more in a common European defense. As a Commission we must strengthen the defense industry and ensure that it produces more when needed. If we want to prevent war we must be strong and prepared, so we are sure that no one will raise a hand against us“, continues the guest.
Regarding the situation in Gaza, Ursula von der Leyen declares: “Europe is a firm supporter of one two-state solution. It is the only possible light at the end of the tunnel: two independent and secure states. We must increase aid so that it actually reaches the people of Gaza“.
