Arrested as a fugitive in Marano, he was hiding in via Castelbelvedere

Arrested on the run in Marano: the man had escaped arrest on March 20 in execution of a precautionary order in Scampia.

Arrested on the run in Marano. This morning at dawn the fugitive of Gennaro Musto, a 33-year-old from Scampia already known to the police, ended.

Last March 20, the man had evaded the precautionary measure order issued by the ordinary prosecutor’s office of Naples because he was considered to be seriously suspected of the crime of drug dealing, acting as a lookout, which occurred last February 22 in the Oasis of the Good Shepherd of Scampia district.

On that occasion the Carabinieri of the Napoli Stella operational unit arrested 2 people and Musto managed to escape.

The searches by the police never ceased and on March 26th Musto was declared a “fugitive”.

The police were on the trail of the 33-year-old and knew that he was traveling in two cars: a Panda and a Lancia Ypsilon.

This morning the turning point was with the identification of the car in which the man was traveling which was parked in front of a house in Marano di Napoli, in via Castelbelvedere.

That’s exactly where the break-in took place. Woken up by the police who arrested him, the man was in the company of his wife. The 33-year-old is currently in prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
