Lexus continues the renewal of the price list by presenting a model which, with this update, significantly improves the previous version
Electric SUVs, plug-in crossovers and hybrids with battery and combustion engine. It seems that the large vehicle sector that Italians love so much is now monopolized by this type of car. The old SUVs with combustion engines now seem to have given way to a new generation of electric cars.
The manufacturing company that can boast of having been in some way a pioneer in the sector is Lexusa brand of the Toyota Group which has invested massively in hybrid cars in a period in which few would have thought of such a boom on the market.
Recently, one of the brand’s flagship models received a major facelift. This is the Lexus UX, an SUV with excellent performance in terms of safety – it received 5 stars in all the official NCAP tests – released in 2018 and still the brand’s top of the range.
Price and performance: Lexus’ winning weapon
It was the month of January when there was talk of the arrival of this version: time seems to have flown by and now the new Lexus UX you can also order in Italy. To begin with, the car boasts 12 exclusive liveries with the Sonic Copper color which acts as the first aesthetic weapon to attract more customers.
The interior has been revised, featuring a 13-inch infotainment monitor with all the latest connectivity features. The car obviously has five doors, guaranteeing extreme comfort even when getting on board. Another trick worth mentioning is the Lexus Safety System+ which causes the car to brake if it detects a moving obstacle on the road such as a pedestrian or another car.
The new Lexus UX features the proven four-cylinder engine supported by a complex combination of electric motors. Total power is just under 200 horsepower with a maximum speed limited to 160 kilometers per hour and 0-100 achieved in seven and a half seconds
It’s clear that the prices can only be top of the range for the car it costs 43,500 euros in its basic setup going up to 50,000 for the new super-equipped UX300H with hybrid engine. However, a price largely commensurate with the value and peculiarities of this car.
