Midas arrived at the ballot for final eliminationthe first in his long journey within the talent show, in seventh episode of Amici di Maria De Filippi. Together with him at risk of having to abandon the program one step away from the semi-final there is another talented singer, namely Martina.
Who is Midas? At the registry office it is Christian Midas, is 23 years old, and as he himself has repeatedly said during the Canale 5 program, he was born in Caracas to a Venezuelan mother. South America runs through the veins of this boy who has now lived in Milan forever. So much so that within the Evening of Amici his artistic path took an unexpected turn, veering decisively towards reggaeton come on Latin rhythms. Not before, however, having conquered the gold record with the song ‘Rossofuoco’which has a lot of autotune but nothing Latin.
Time and the record market will tell whether this choice can in some way be successful, the fact is that at least Mida has entered a decidedly different market segment compared to all the other competitors in this edition of the talent show Maria De Filippi. Within Amici, Midas also experienced a short but intense life romantic relationship cwith another competitor: the dancer Gaia. A relationship which, however, foundered within a few weeks, above all due to the singer-songwriter’s doubts regarding how their relationship could have evolved outside the television context.
Even before participating in the Canale 5 talent show, Mida was already a name and a well-known face for many viewers and music lovers. The reason is simple: Mida participated in 2022 in Sanremo Youth with the song ‘Malditè’. However, they failed to pass the final stage and therefore did not reach the stage of the Ariston Theater for the Sanremo Festival. Just in recent days, Mida recalled that moment within the talent show: “The disappointment was great, I had to look all the people who had believed in me in the face and then start everything from scratch. It terrifies me that I have to relive such a moment.”
