We are used to seeing him good-natured and smiling during his television broadcasts. Yet even Gerry Scotti hides a “naughty” side that has recently come to light. Here’s what he said about one of his colleagues, during an episode of Striscia la Notizia.

He is certainly among the most loved television hosts Gerry Scotti: the presenter from Pavia is a cornerstone of Mediaset broadcasts and, not surprisingly, the management of Cologno Monzese often entrusts him with shows to be launched, or which are in dire straits, certain that thanks to his presence he will be able to revive them.
Born in 1956 in a small village in the Oltrepò Pavese, Scotti abandoned his university studies in law to follow his great passion for radio. At the beginning of the 80s he landed on Radio Deejay, strongly supported by Claudio Cecchetto, producer and talent scout who later also became a Pygmalion of 883, Jovanotti and Sabrina Salerno.
Precisely thanks to the collaboration with Cecchetto Gerry was able to begin his television career, debuting with DeeJay Television and then continuing with other very popular programs of those years such as Smile, Candid Camera and Festivalbar. However, his consecration took place between the 90s and 2000s, when he was entrusted with the hosting of two historic quizzes such as Passaparola and Who wants to be a millionaire.

One of Scotti’s best-known characteristics is certainly his good-naturedness: Gerry is seen as a friendly face for viewers at home, but recently he showed a new side during an episode of Striscia la Notizia, a satirical news program created by Antonio Ricci of which he is one of the historical conductors. For some time now the program deals with the alleged jewels sponsored by Francesca Fagnani on TV and in photo shoots.

Reached by correspondent Rajae Bezzaz, the journalist replied as follows: “You are very poorly informed. I can easily wear the jewels you see on TV, because they are lent to me. It’s not an advertisement, I don’t get a penny. All journalists do it, this thing of yours is hypocritical.”
Once the service is finished and the line resumes, Gerry wanted to have his say on what his colleague saidhostess of the now very famous program dedicated to Belve interviews, and to everyone’s surprise she responded: “Francesca claims that some of her colleagues are under contract with brands. Since she is a journalist and above all a beast, out of respect for the public she now has to name names. Do them whether they are Rai, Mediaset or La7 journalists.
