Samsung Galaxy M33 or M23: Which is better?

The Samsung Galaxy M23 and M33 arrived in Italy in the first quarter of 2022: despite being two years old, both are excellent solutions for those looking for a solid smartphone without spending too much. But what changes between Samsung Galaxy M23 and M33? Let’s see together the main differences between the two!

At the sight, i Samsung Galaxy M23 and M33 look the same: both have a 6.6″ TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,048 pixels, a refresh rate at 90 Hz and a pixel density of 400 ppi. Furthermore, the dimensions are also very similar to each other: the Galaxy M33 measures 165.4 x 76.9 x 9.4 millimeters, while the M23 is slightly smaller, with measurements equal to 165.5 x 77 x 8.4 millimetres. Furthermore, the Galaxy M33 weighs barely more of its “little brother”, as it weighs 215 grams (compared to 198 for the M23).

Both devices fall within Samsung’s update policy on a quarterly basis (and should do so until next year), but their technical specifications change significantly. While the Galaxy M33 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1200 chipan octa-core with a frequency of 2.20 GHz, the M23 instead uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC, with 2 Kryo 570 cores at 2.20 GHz and 6 Kryo 570 cores at 1.80 GHz. The RAM of the base model is only 4 GB, while that of the Galaxy M33 goes up to 6 GB. The starting storage for both is equal to 128 GB and rises up to 1 TB with expansion via microSD.

In the end, there are also changes on the camera side. Both devices entry-level from the Suwon company have a good 50 MP main lens with f/1.8 aperture and 1/4″ sensor, with support for digital stabilization and autofocus, as well as the same sensor for portraits and effect bokeh from 2 MP. However, theultra-wide angle of the Galaxy M33 is 8 MPwhile the Galaxy M23 stops at 5 MP. Finally, the Galaxy M33 also features a fourth 2 MP macro sensor.SAMSUNG GALAXY M ON AMAZON
