Trains, an accident at the Florence station is causing delays
Descriptive text here

New delays with trains due to an accident in Florence. In the Florence Santa Maria Novella railway station, around 12.30 on Thursday 4 May, the front wheels of an empty regional train returning to the depot at the end of its commercial service, and therefore traveling at low speed and with no passengers on board, left the railway site causing the train to stop. The train is diverted near the Romito, near the central station.

The presence of the train currently inhibits the use of some tracks on the entrance and exit route from the station causing delays of up to 90 minutes and changes to traffic in the Florentine junction. The Italian railway network makes it known. Rfi technicians are at work to restore regular train traffic. The delay is impacting the circulation of Frecciarossa, Intercity and regional trains.

  4. Italian

Frecciarossa, Frecciargento and Frecciabianca

In the case of delays with the Frecciarossa, Frecciargento and Frecciabianca trains of Trenitaliathe refund depends on the minutes of the train delay:

  1. Delay between 30 and 59 minutes: in this case Trenitalia reimburses 25% of the ticket price. The passenger can use it within 12 months to purchase a new ticket;
  2. Delay between 60 and 119 minutes (one-two hours): Trenitalia recognizes compensation of 25% of the ticket;
  3. Delay above two hours: compensation equal to 50% of the ticket price.

This compensation can be converted or into a bonus to buy a new ticket within 12 months (but cannot be accumulated with the one in point 1, for delays between 30 and 59 minutes), or withdrawn in the form of a refund. For those who paid in cash, the refund is made in cash. Otherwise mediate re-credit for those who paid by credit card.

Regional trains

Who travels with regional trains may request reimbursement for delays between the place of departure and the place of destination indicated on the ticket, based on fares 39, 39/AS and “mixed global tickets”, if the delay is:
