Who is Claudio Campiti is the man who set fire to a bar in Fidene, killing three women and seriously injuring three other people. At that moment a meeting of the Valleverde consortium in the Valle del Turano area was being held. After breaking into the gazebo, the man started shooting and hitting five people. Three women died instantly while three others were injured. One of them would be in danger of life. The man was blocked by one of the participants in the meeting who took advantage of the moment in which the gun jammed.

Who is Claudio Campiti lived in conditions of absolute poverty. The man was not a new face to the consortium as in the past there had been complaints about his violent behavior. A resident explained in these hours that the man was always argumentative and that his target was the leaders of the consortium. Until today, however, no one would have ever expected such an epilogue. Claudio Campiti lived in a house without water and without light. According to the testimonies collected, the man originally from Ladispoli had spent all the money that the Municipality had given him for the sewer: “The Municipality of Ascrea gave him the money to do it but he spent it in other ways and was left without”. Lately the man had also threatened children. The man also used a blog in which he wrote delusional posts against the consortium. In the last one dating back to November 2021 he wrote: “Here with the penal code the State goes to the toilet, here reporting is a waste of time, I know all thieves. It is a fiefdom granted by the State to the Valleverde Consortium”. On his Facebook profile there are numerous Nazi-fascist references, including a medal with a fasces and the fascist motto “Many enemies, much honor” and toy soldiers with the features of Hitler And Mussolini. The man was exasperated by the Consortium’s internal rules and for this reason he decided to rebel with a murderous action that could result in a real massacre.
The death of the son
Claudio Campiti had lost a minor son in a accident on the snow in Northern Italy. From that moment the man had lost his mind. In fact, the neighbors tell that after that tragic event Campiti had shown imbalances. He used to go around shirtless in the summer in the narrow streets of the center of Turano and everyone who met him considered him disturbing. The fifteen-year-old son had crashed into a tree in South Tyrol in 2012 after going off the slope with the sled, on board of which he had been left alone to cover, for the second time ever, the difficult downhill slope from Croda Rossa . For the death of the 14-year-old, the Public Prosecutor’s Office sentenced the managing director of Drei Zinnen Spa for violating safety regulations. After that mourning, the man began to suffer from mental disorders.
The theft of the gun
Claudio Campiti had been denied the license to carry firearms. However, the man was in possession of a pistol, a Glock nine caliber. According to what has been learned, Campiti would have stolen the gun from a shooting range in Tor di Quinto where he went for shooting sessions. The man therefore knew how to shoot and handle a gun. At the moment the structure has been placed under seizure to allow further investigations. It seems that Campiti had stolen the gun without anyone noticing.

Claudio Campiti pulled out a pistol this morning by unloading several shots near a bar in via Monte Giberto. Rome, Fidene district. Three people are killed and others are injured.
