The talented Italian artist Feuei Tola and his exhibition Radiographics – Investigations on the center at the Crypt of the Cà Granda in Milan; this was the occasion for the “Meeting between poets” in which some works by the poets of the Milanese school were read Vittorio Sereni, Antonia Pozzi, Daria Menicanti, Roberto Rebora, Lento Goffi and Renzo ModestiThe philosopher intervened Amedeo Rings ei poeti Sabrina De Canio and Massimo Silvotti. The installation “Essere nel mirino” created by Feuei Tola was exhibited, wearing a dress inspired by it. It is not the first time that Feuei Tola has included cultural events in her exhibitions. Last October, at the Castello di Melegnano, during the exhibition “Radiografiche Introspettive”, Feuei Tola wanted to host a poetry reading that was very popular with the public. Feuei Tola is a multifaceted artist who expresses her art in many ways: paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs and performances. She is not afraid to experiment with new forms of artistic expression such as painting on x-rays, convinced that the concept of art has no limits.
Meetings between artists are essential to encourage the exchange of opinions among the greatest number of people possible…
Feuei, what inspired you to host the event dedicated to poetry?
I believe it is essential to organize meetings between artists of all kinds to encourage the exchange of opinions and to make these opinions known to as many people as possible. An event dedicated to poetry fits perfectly within one of my exhibitions, whether it is a poetry reading like last October at the Castello di Melegnano or a meeting between poets like at the Cripta della Cà Granda in Milan. In both cases, the event dedicated to poetry was appreciated by the public and this makes me understand that the path taken is the right one. Many have asked me questions about my works. This interest from the public, in my opinion, is very important for an artist.
From the Medici Castle of Melegnano to the Crypt of the Cà Granda in Milan, will the next exhibition also be in a location of great historical importance?
I will do the next exhibition where I will have the opportunity to organize it, but in general it is obvious that the Castello Mediceo and the Crypt of the Cà Granda represent a leap in quality for an artist. In my case, the leap in quality is also represented by the authorities who wanted to participate in the two exhibitions. At the Castello Mediceo the mayor of Melegnano Vito Bellomo was present. At the Crypt there were the president of the Fondazione IRCCS Cà Granda Dott. Marco Giachetti and the director of the Cultural Heritage Service of the Fondazione IRCCS Cà Granda Dott. Paolo Galimberti. I was also very pleased with the interest of the media which are fundamental for the success of any artist. Milan is honoring my art and recognizing my passion, it is the city that welcomed me to Italy when I returned after many years living in Spain.
Prestigious locations, the public, the authorities and the media. Are you showing the way to your colleagues?
This is my current path and I have been involved in art for decades. Everyone follows their own path. I don’t think anyone starts with an exhibition in a location of great historical importance, with a large audience, with local authorities and journalists. It always starts with a small exhibition where few people and no journalists participate. Then you should move forward and improve not only in your art but also in the presentation of it by organizing events more professionally and learning the basics of communication to make them known to a large audience.
