Francesco Serangeli, Hanna Ben Haj Ferdj, Pietro Lena and Sofia Angiolini are the students of the Montale high school in Pontedera, who, together with the teacher Sara Liberto, represented their institute in Lignano Sabbiadoro at the YounG7 for Education–future school project. This initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Education and Merit on the occasion of the Italian presidency of the G7, “aims to spread good educational practices and innovative teaching methodologies within the Pnrr Education”.

YounG7 for Education took place in parallel with the meeting of the G7 Education Ministers who met in Trieste from 27 to 29 June. Chaired by Minister Giuseppe Valditara, the meeting will also see the participation of the European Commissioner for Education, representatives of the African Union, major international organizations such as OECD, UNESCO, UNICEF, the Global Partnership for Education, as well as the Education Ministers of Ukraine and Brazil, the latter as President of the G20.

“During YounG7, students and teachers were engaged in meetings, debates and training workshops on topics such as arts, music, sports, food and digital media – the participants explained – The aim is to explore and propose innovative solutions for global citizenship education, the development of Stem programs and interdisciplinarity. Particular attention is placed on the integration of Artificial Intelligence in teaching, seen as a tool that enhances the centrality of the person”. The headmistress of the Montale high school, Lucia Orsini, expressed “great satisfaction for participating in this initiative”, underlining how “it reflects the institute’s commitment to opening up to an international dimension and adopting cutting-edge teaching practices”.
