His life is not in danger, but he remains hospitalized in Terni hospital with a reserved prognosis, the 48-year-old worker who was the victim of what appears to be an accident at work on Saturday. The carabinieri of Norcia and the inspectors of the Local Health Authority, who have already carried out several inspections and proceeded with the seizure of the construction site of the Town Hall of Cascia, affected by work started after the damage caused by the 2016 earthquake, will shed light on the matter and reconstruct the facts. According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, but no ambulance was requested. The worker is said to be an employee of a subcontractor that operates within the construction site, as also confirmed by the mayor of Cascia, and his employer and a colleague accompanied him to the emergency room in Spoleto. Given his condition, the 48-year-old was immediately transferred to Terni hospital. Initially it seemed that the man may have been injured at home, but this hypothesis would have to be verified. The injuries reported would be compatible with a fall from a height, but apparently there would not be particularly high scaffolding inside the town hall and therefore the dynamics of the accident remain to be clarified. The Spoleto Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation file and also as a precaution, to facilitate the investigations, the construction site has been placed under seizure. The work on the town hall that began at the beginning of the year for about one million euros will inevitably suffer delays. Delivery was scheduled for the end of 2024, but now we will have to understand how long the construction site will remain at a standstill.
