NEWS. Head-on collision in via Caposile, three injured
Head-on traffic accident today, Monday 1 July, around 9:45 in Caposile, on the roundabout that leads to the regional road 89 Treviso-mare. Two vehicles involved, three people injured. The firefighters team that arrived from San Donà di Piave, supported by a team from Mestre, took care of rescuing the three injured: two on the vehicle that, from the first investigations, seems to have entered the roundabout in the wrong direction, and a third injured on the other car.
Suem 118 staff were also on site to provide the necessary care. The helicopter rescue also arrived for medical support. None of the injured were in serious condition.
POLITICS. Autonomy, Zaia writes to Meloni to discuss the implementation of the law
The President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, signed today, at Palazzo Balbi in the presence of the Council, the letter addressed to the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, in which he requests the reopening of the discussion table for the implementation of differentiated autonomy, as provided for by the Constitution. A letter drafted in light of the publication in the Official Journal of the law on autonomy, which will be effective from next July 13. The letter was signed by President Zaia with the pen that was used to call the consultative referendum of 2017. “A gesture that also brought good back then. SPORTS. Venezia FC announces investors and new organizational structure
With the start of the new sports season, Venezia FC has revealed the names of the new investors who will bring fresh money into the lagoon club’s coffers. The amount, however, is not known. The title of the press release, with which we learn about the news, in fact, says: “Venezia FC announces significant capital increase”. It is said that “the ownership group has formed an Operations Committee (OpCo) to oversee the strategic direction of the club” Even in this case, we do not go into detail to give a numerical value to the concept of ‘significant majority’. NEWS. Fight against illegal trade, seizures and fines in Venice
In June, the Venice Local Police and the Guardia di Finanza set up four joint services aimed at combating illegal itinerant trade in the Historic Center of Venice. Currently, there does not appear to be a massive presence of vendors, but a sporadic presence of people of African ethnicity who display goods on the ground or itinerantly sell products such as bracelets and belts. Overall, in carrying out these services, 143 bags and other leather goods that did not show any counterfeiting or alteration of brands were seized, with attached reports; in addition, two non-EU citizens were identified who were not regular for entering and staying on Italian national territory.
