Flood, online portal opened to report expenses and obtain state compensation

From today, 1 July, the portal of the Tuscany Region is open for reporting the expenses incurred by citizens, businesses and agricultural companies in post-flood restoration works. To activate the reimbursement procedure it is necessary to connect to the address https://www.regione.toscana.it/-/emergency-alluvione-2023 where citizens will be able to upload receipts, invoices, and everything that certifies the expenses incurred, for then receive refunds. After the government’s allocation of 66 million euros for immediate support, President Eugenio Giani as commissioner activated the necessary procedures to open the portal and put citizens and businesses in a position to obtain the reimbursements provided for by national provisions: up to 5 thousand euros for families and up to 20 thousand euros for businesses affected by the flood.
Anyone who requests a refund of an amount greater than 8,000 euros can request an advance of 2,500 euros, committing to bear the related expenses by 31 December 2024 and to upload the related reporting, via the online platform, again by the end of the year. December 31, 2024 is in fact the deadline for reporting expenses, both those already incurred and those that will be incurred between now and then.

The site also provides a handbook and a video tutorial with instructions for uploading reporting documents by private individuals: invoices, payment details and related receipts.
Those who have applied through CAAF can check whether CAAF is still available to support online reporting, otherwise the advice is to contact the help desks that the Municipalities will make available to help citizens.

“Since the day of the flood – he said Eugenio Giani– I have always been on the front line with the utmost attention paid to the citizens affected. From the immediate allocation of regional resources (a total of 25 million which we are completing to disburse), to the calls for support for businesses, the extremely urgent interventions in the affected areas, concluded in most cases, but still in progress where the works take longer , until today, in which, with the opening of the portal, a further phase opens, that of reimbursements which will lead to the distribution of the 66 million allocated by the government of which I am executive commissioner for families and businesses. They are cumulative contributions – President Giani recalled – with the 3000 euros that the families have received or are receiving”
