The friendly football match held on Friday 14 June at the Campo Piemonte Sport in Corso Rigola ended with a draw and a nice handshake, which saw the players of the team of the State Police and the CGIL, made up of young immigrants.
“An initiative promoted by the CGIL Vercelli Valsesia to which the Vercelli Police Headquarters has gladly joined, in the name of aggregation, cohesion and social inclusion and of an ever greater closeness of the State Police towards those who daily present themselves at their counters to process immigration procedures“, they explain from the Police Headquarters.
Present to support and encourage their teams, the police commissioner of Vercelli Giuseppe Mariani and the deputy police commissioner Antonio Rainone Gonarioin addition to general secretary Valter Bossoni and the head of the foreign office Giuseppe Fodero, for the CGIL. A meeting that is expected to be repeated in the future, perhaps in a wider audience.
Despite the purpose of the meeting of aggregation and friendship, the match was played with healthy competitiveness until the last second and at the end we left each other with the promise of seeing each other again as opponents, on the field, but friends, everywhere.
