The seventh edition of Very archivedthe first festival dedicated to the promotion and valorisation of archival heritage, scheduled in Turin from 6 to 9 June.
Born in 2018 from the previous experience of the format “The Night of the Archives” – created in 2016 by Promemoria Group with the aim of publicly returning to citizens the informative and narrative wealth contained in the heritage of the historical archives of bodies, institutions, large companies – the Festival welcomed the ninth edition of the Night in 2024, to conclude Sunday 9 with the International Archives Day.
Very archived is staged mainly in the extraordinary setting of the Turin headquarters of Galleries of Italy (Piazza San Carlo 156), Intesa Sanpaolo museum center which can be visited for free during opening hours.
Theme of the new edition le Passions: components as much celebrated as they are visceral, connected to the vital instinct, to survival, to reproduction. Disruptive, kaleidoscopic, all-encompassing, often destructive, passions have for centuries been the fulcrum of self-affirmation and a powerful link between individuals, private relationships and public life, an essential driver for the transformation of society. Functions that today seem not only silenced but almost completely vanished, and which, however, can be traced within the archives, a world made of our worlds, within which passions survive.
