It is a challenge that is already becoming “tradition”. Sinner and Alcaraz they meet for the first time in a Slam semifinal, at Roland Garros, where last year Carlos lost in the final to Novak Djokovic.
The precedents see them in perfect parity, 4-4, with the only match played on clay won by Jannik in the Umag 2021 final.

ALCARAZ SERVES FOR THE MATCH AT 5-3 – Sinner holds the serve in the sixth and eighth games to give himself one last chance. In the middle a game held to the advantage by the Spaniard, who could serve for a place in the final.
SIGNS OF LIFE FROM SINNER, BUT ALCARAZ RISES 4-1 – Sinner tries to stay in the wake with a good turn of serve. The blue reacts and also thanks to a great backhand pass played from far away he gets to 0-30 in response, but Alcaraz goes upstream and closes another important game with the advantages.

SINNER BACK AHEAD BY TWO BREAKS! 5-2 – The forehand is a blessing and a curse for Alcaraz at the start of the match. Sinner is much more regular, finding the corners from the baseline and hurting the Spaniard who also commits the first double fault of the match and gives up serve for the third time.
