It’s scheduled for Tuesday June 4th at 8pmin the gardens of via Marghine a Quartu Sant’Elenathe performance “Matrilineal connections“, the outcome of the poetic theatrical journey inspired by the Mother Goddess and set in nature, in the archaeological sites and in the most beautiful domus of Quartu Sant’Elena.

Presented in the Teatri di Pace setting by the cultural association Even so, the journey, which began at the Ex Convento dei Cappuccini last March 26 with a symposium on the valorisation of the role of art and making art within the community and society, was varied and exciting and involved 23 women since March in June. The “Connections” of this edition of Matrilineare are strong, a project with a strong artistic-pedagogical value, conceived and developed by Grazia Dentoni over twenty years ago to enhance the role of women in society through works of reconnection, rediscovery and collective creation: the focus it focused on the desire to network between women and local associations, using art as a tool to heal the wounds of gender discrimination and violence.

Grazia Dentoni, director of the project, explains: “In this technological era in which there is so much talk about collective intelligence in media systems, the challenge is to strengthen this process in real life, to implement a module of collective emotional intelligence through the practice of a nomadic and constantly transforming theater laboratory. The women’s knowledge is shared in a circular rhythm, ensuring the oral transmission of stories and songs while masks are made, wool is spun, physical and vocal training is practiced.”

Matrilineal connections lived in Nuraghe Diana with her women, meeting the archaeologist Patrizia Zuncheddu; Sa Dom’e Farra with the special guest Luciana Percovich; Arcoiris house and Olla house. The laboratory was photographically documented by Emanuela Cau.

Made possible thanks to the sensitivity and contribution of the municipality of Quartu Sant’Elena, Department of Social and Generational Policies, as part of the social cohesion project “Not only November 25th”, Matrilineare Connections is in collaboration with: University of the Third Age , Arcoiris Onlus, Donna Ceteris, Prehistory in Italy, Asd Arcipelagos, Tennis Club Asd Costa di Sopra, Presidio Piazzale Trento, Sa Defenza.
