A tragic one fire exploded inside an amusement park in the city of Rajkot, in the western region of Gujarat, in India. In the fire, perhaps caused by a short circuit in one of the attractions of the amusement park, over 20 people lost their lives. Many i dead children and those still missing among the rubble.

Over 300 people were in the two-story structure of the Trp amusement park, in the city of Rajkotin the state of Gujarat, India.

All stuck inside the playground when a fire broke out, probably due to a short circuitalthough the exact causes are still to be ascertained.

“People were trapped when a temporary structure collapsed near the entrance, making it difficult to get out,” the fire chief explained to local media Ilesh Kher.

Due to the flammable material of the rides, the flames spread very quickly and occurred over an hour to put out the fire.

Meanwhile, more than about ten ambulances took care of transporting the numerous injured to the nearest hospitals.

The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patelannounced that a “special investigation team” had been called in to investigate what happened.

The city police commissioner, Raju Bhargavasaid that the owner and manager of the amusement park were taken to the police station.

Gujarat is the home region of Narendra Modithe Prime Minister of India, who expressed his condolences with a post on X.

“The fire tragedy in Rajkot has saddened us all. – are Modi’s words – I am extremely saddened by the accident. My thoughts go out to all those who have lost loved ones. I pray for the wounded. The local administration is working to provide all possible assistance to those affected.”
