‘Anteprima Baccanale’ kicked off yesterday evening, with a fair number of attendees, the three-day event which represents a taste of what will happen during the autumn edition of the event (scheduled from 19 October to 10 November) dedicated to the culture of food, food and wine and the valorisation of local products.

In the large central stand, in Piazza Matteotti, the protagonists are the seven establishments that have taken up the challenge of cooking a themed specialty dedicated to oil: Dulcis Caffè, Pizzeria Quattroquinti, Ristorante San Domenico, Vivanderia note e aromami, Fiskebar Linea 22, Osteria del Vicolo Nuovo (the latter only yesterday and today) and Popeye (only tomorrow).

To accompany the chefs’ creations, the wine of the Colli di Imola DOC committee. Furthermore, the Frantoio Valsanterno, Rete oil podere Pratale and Clai will be present with thematic stands this afternoon (4-9pm) and throughout the day tomorrow (9-9pm). The spring evenings will be enriched by the musical proposals scheduled every evening at 8pm.

In detail, today at 6pm Caffè Bologna, in collaboration with the Frantoio Valsanterno of Imola, is offering an activity entitled ‘Discovering extra virgin olive oil’: a gastronomic aperitif with guided tasting of the three extra virgin olive oils from the Frantoio. The aperitif costs ten euros per person, places are limited and reservations are required (0542 22517 – Caffè Bologna). Also at 6pm, an aperitif is organized at the Otello bar with the New Flavor Original bread products paired with the EVO oils of Palazzo di Varignana.

Tomorrow at 10.30 am the Turibio Baruzzi singers and dancers from Romagna will inaugurate the last day of the event with a show of traditional songs and dances on the stage in Piazza Matteotti. From 12pm, it will be possible to enjoy a delicious brunch at the ControCorrente bar (‘Raw, cooked and fried’), where at 6pm the ‘Guide to extra virgin olive oils’ (Slow Food publisher, 2024) will be presented. Presented by journalist Laura Giorgi. Finally, in the main streets and squares of the historic center there will be many themed proposals for commercial activities, bars and cafes.
