Ascoli Piceno, Monticelli Festival ”Picchietto d’oro”: final evening in collaboration with Music House – picenotime

Great anticipation at Monticelli Festival organized by the parishes of Ss. Simone e Giuda and S.Giovanni Evangelista for the second edition of “Golden pecker” Singing competition for children aged 4 to 11 which will take place on Saturday 25 May starting at 9pm. The deadline to register for the preliminary phase expired on April 10th: more than one hundred competitors responded. Auditions took place at the studios on Saturday 4 May Music House of Ascoli Piceno where all the participants were listened to “live” carefully by the quality jury. In some cases, where the distance was more than 200 km, as in the case of some members from Sardinia and Lombardy, an online connection was opted for. At the end the jury drew up the ranking of the votes and decreed the names of the sixteen finalists who will participate in the final evening of the competition, i.e. the National Final of the Golden Picchietto which will be held on Saturday 25 May on the stage of the Monticelli Festival in Ascoli Piceno. Big news for this second edition to involve the public more: the LED wall on which the lyrics of the songs will be projected that the public will be able to sing together with the protagonists of the event (these are well-known songs that participated in the previous editions of the Zecchino d’oro ) and the applause meter which will evaluate the public’s satisfaction while the quality jury will draw up the final ranking. Here are the names of the finalists (some even coming from outside the region) in alphabetical order and the song assigned by the jury:

For the baby category (4-7 years):

Mattia Andreucci – “Ri-Cer-Ca-To”

Aurora Falconi – “Coccole”

Anna Ferlito – “I Wanted A Black Cat”

Francesco Ferri – “Like King Kong”

Aurora Montemari – “Paper Wings”

For the junior category (8-11 years):

Nicole Albanesi – “I Could Have Been Born a Kitten”

Alice Catalucci – “The Stinky Cat”

Dylan Cestini – “The Mannequin Blues”

Aurora Giancaterino – “The Cooled Anchovy”

Veronica Ianiro – “Mambo Rimambo”

Ludovica Lupi – “The Panda With Wings”

Nicoletta Merlonghi – “Superdaddy”

Diletta Oresti – “The Song of the Week”

Maria Porcella – “Guardians of the World”

Asia Saione – “A Thousand Strawberries”

Viola Stella Vitagliani – “Shut up and fly”

The Music House, which organizes the Picchietto d’Oro, has been active for over 20 years and deals with music education, event organization and the promotion of emerging music, offering, as in this case, young talents a platform to perform and make yourself known. The Golden Picchietto is an extraordinary opportunity for young talents, who can present themselves in front of a jury of experts and make themselves known to the general public. The live performances of the final are a unique experience for the artists, who can test themselves live and demonstrate their skill. We have now reached the final on May 25th to find out who will be the winner of the 2023 Golden Picchietto. The voices of all the children will join in the original Theme of the Golden Picchietto, performed live on the big stage.
