A Deep Investigation

On Sunday 26 May 2024, the Faloci Pulignani room of Palazzo Trinci, located in Piazza della Repubblica in Foligno, will become the stage for an incisive and revealing investigation into the practices of the multinational TAP. A group of documentary filmmakers composed of Teresa di Mauro, Vittoria Torsello and Lorenzo Urzia made the documentary “La Propaganda del Gas”, winner of the prestigious “Roberto Morrione” award in 2023 and also selected in the Open Call of the “Fuori Festival” of the same year.

Disconcerting discoveries

The documentary reveals TAP’s operational methods not only in Italy but also in Greece and Albania. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) constitutes the penultimate stretch of the “Southern Gas Corridor”, an ambitious infrastructure which, starting from the Caspian Sea, will transport methane gas to Minerbio, the crucial European hub of methane pipelines, through the “Snam Adriatic Network ”.

Event Programme

The meeting begins at 5.00 pm with greetings to the participants and an in-depth introduction to the topic.

At 5.15pm, the documentary will be screened, offering the public the opportunity to immerse themselves in the revelations and details of the investigations conducted.

Subsequently, at 5.45 pm, Angelo Gagliani will be present, who will connect from Brindisi to share direct testimonies on the works carried out by TAP in Salento and on the related developments of the trial at the Court of Lecce.

The event will be enriched by a broad debate, moderated by the authors of the documentary, which will allow the public to express opinions, ask questions and deepen their understanding of the issues raised.

An opportunity for reflection and discussion

This event offers a unique platform to critically explore the role of large multinationals in the international energy landscape and the implications of their activities on local communities and the environment. The screening of the documentary and the subsequent discussion promises to be an enlightening and inspiring experience for all those interested in better understanding the power dynamics and environmental challenges of our time.
