Bakery chef Francesco Arena has received new recognition for his work that brings up the name of the city of Messina. Yesterday in Lettere, in the province of Naples, the Messina baker collected the “L’Arcimboldo d’Oro” award which celebrates the “Artists of taste” who every day with their work preserve quality, tradition, craftsmanship, with a wink to food and wine innovation.
Francesco Arena, who flew to Campania to participate in the food and wine event “L’Arcimboldo d’Oro International Festival 2024” hosted at the Elisabetta Luxury Events in Lettere, received the golden statuette which is awarded to artists of taste, true custodians and ambassadors of ancient arts, who are capable of narrating and communicating the history and culture of their territory, looking to the future with uniqueness and emotional capacity.
This is yet another award awarded to Francesco Arena, outside Sicily, which recognizes the value of the Messina professional who continues to raise the name of the city of the Strait. With craftsmanship, passion and care Francesco Arena, third generation of bakers in the city of the Strait, creates bread and a large variety of excellent baked products in his Tommaso Cannizzaro bakery and in his father’s historic shop “Masino Arena” in S. .Agate.
