Cross-border workers: meeting of the Uil union in Castiglione Olona

CASTIGLIONE OLONA – It took place on Saturday morning, 18 May, in the council hall in Piazza Garibaldi in Castiglione Olona, ​​thenmeeting organized by Uil, the Italian Labor Union, to discuss the future of cross-border workers, a central theme of the trade union debate.

Taking part in the meeting, which focuses on the future of the economy of the provinces of Varese, Como, Lecco, Sondrio and Milan, were the mayor of Castiglione Olona Giancarlo Frigeri, Antonio Massafra (coordinator of Uil Varese), Raimondo Pancrazio (general secretary Uil Frontalieri), Massimo Mastromarino (president of the Italian border municipalities), Luca Gaffuri (president of Caf Uil Lombardia) and Enrico Vizza (general secretary of Uil Lombardia). Among the topics discussed: double taxation, rights, health, housing, training, the future of work in border countries, the statute for cross-border workers, infrastructure, mobility and the services that the Caf intends to provide. A mobilization is planned for May 25th in Como to contest the violation of the agreements that the Government has signed with Switzerland.
