The 12th edition of the “Comix Games”, high school section, was won by the children of the “Majorana-Maitani” Higher Scientific and Technical Education Institute of Orvieto who won the final and the title of national champions thanks to their linguistic and to the verve demonstrated in the live performance. The event, as announced, took place Monday 13 May in the Blue Room of the Turin International Book Fair.
Fourteen of them left Orvieto, together with their teacher, to reach Turin and, with enthusiasm, determination and unsurpassed friendliness, they conquered the podium in the final competition of the national ludolinguistics competition promoted by Comix (Franco Cosimo Panini Editore), Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino and Repubblica@Scuola with the contribution of Mondadori, Museo Egizio and Bper Banca.
The students of Orvieto snatched the title of national champions of the Comix Games from the other competing high schools: the “Roncalli” high schools of Poggibonsi and “Russell-Newton” of Scandicci and the “Don Delfo Gioacchini” scientific high schools of Orte and “Ferraris ” of Turin.
With talent, skill and creativity, engaging in fun but challenging linguistic tests (tautograms, lipograms and a very entertaining class live show) the students of Orvieto won the favors of the jury composed of Federico Pace, journalist of Repubblica, Laura Panini president of Franco Cosimo Panini Editore, Franco Barbolini, editorial coordinator of Comix and Francesco Morgando, Feltrinelli author.
