Ferrari loses pole in the 6h Spa-Francorchamps, third act of FIA World Endurance Championship. The Red #50 of Antonio Fuoco was judged irregular after the technical checks with a minimum weight lower than the regulations.
Ferrari passes pole to Porsche
Fuoco therefore loses the absolute leadership of the overall ranking, the 499P #50 will start in last position among the Hypercars behind Isotta Fraschini #11. Porsche Penske Motorsport #5 therefore inherits the lead, present ahead of Cadillac Racing #2 and Proton Competition Porsche #99.
Hertz JOTA Porsche #12, Porsche Penske Motorsport #6 and Toyota GR #8 follow in order in the final ranking, the first of the Ferraris will start in 10th place after the time recorded today by James Calado #51.
Danish Nicklas Nielsen will start with car #50, while Antonio Giovinazzi #51 is expected aboard its sister car. Driving the Porsche #5, however, we will have Fred Mako, leader at the lights going out ahead of Alex Lynn #2.
Changes also in LMGT3, WRT BMW #46 climbs to second place
Also changes in LMGT3 a few hours after the conclusion of qualifying. Sarah Bovy (Iron Dames Lamborghini #83) maintains the overall lead, the Belgian will not find the McLaren #95 of United Autosport.
Joshua Caygill, disqualified for an irregular and underweight car, will therefore start in last place, BMW WRT #46 inherits second place ahead of Manthey EMA Porsche #91, United Autosports #59, Heart of Racing Aston Martin #27 and VISTA AF Corse Ferrari # 54.
Pure Rxcing’s Porsche #92 remains provisionally in 10th place in its class, ninth after the sanction of United #95. The car of Alex Malykhin/Joel Sturm/Klaus Bachler should return to regular action tomorrow after a violent impact after the Eau Rouge segment.
