The investigators are investigating the case and, for the appropriate findings and to establish any responsibilities, they seized the heavy vehicle. The man, 65 years old, died instantly. The tragedy occurred on the afternoon of Monday 6 May and the victim’s body is now available to the judicial authorities.
65 year old hit by a truck in Nola
As reported by ‘Il Mattino’, on Monday 6 May a 65-year-old man was hit in Nola, in the province of Naples, at number 309 of via San Gennaro while traveling on his bicycle.
According to an initial reconstruction, his death was caused by a collision with a Fiat Iveco truck which hit him. The 65-year-old died instantly.

The dynamics of the tragedy are still under investigation, so for the moment it is not possible to reconstruct the circumstances that led to the death of the 65-year-old, nor whether this was caused by an error by the truck driver.

As ‘Il Fatto Vesuviano’ reconstructs, the soldiers of the mobile radio section of the Nola company intervened following a 118 call. There was nothing that could be done for the 65-year-old.
It is not known the health conditions of the man driving the Fiat Iveco. The body of the 65-year-old is now available to the judicial authorities and has been transferred to the II Polyclinic of Naples. As already mentioned, the investigators also seized the truck.
The investigations are conducted by the carabinieri of the Piazzolla station in Nola.

As mentioned shortly before, the 65-year-old’s tragedy occurred a few days after another accident with dramatic results. On the night between 21 and 22 April one German student aged 27, in Italy with the Erasmus project, she was hit in via Foria while she was moving with her bicycle.
The girl collided with an Asian vehicle (Environmental Hygiene Services Company) and her condition immediately appeared very serious. After being stabilized on site, the medics transported her first to the Vecchio Pellegrini and then to the Ospedale del Mare, where she finally ended up dead the following morning.
