Women: inspiring muses of poets, meeting with Renato Dellepiane

The meetings of the Friends of the Ligustic Academy continue dedicated to Twentieth century poetry. Title of the third meeting is Women: inspiring muses of poets with Renato Dellepianeexpected Wednesday 8 May 2024 at 6.30 pmat the Society of Scientific Readings and Conversations (Palazzo Ducale, minor courtyard, 1st floor).

Women have always been one of the main sources of inspiration for poets, albeit in different forms. In the twentieth century this fact affected not only literature but also psychology and news. Renato Dellepiane, born in Genoa in 1944, graduated in 1967 in Modern Literature at the University of Genoa. He taught Italian and Latin literature for over twenty years at the Fermi Scientific High School in Genoa Sampierdarena and from 1990 to 2011 he was principal first in Asti in the Teachers’ Institute and then from 1998 at the Martin Luther King Scientific High School in Genoa, where he established courses of Classical High School. He is the author with Vittorio Balbis and Bruno Cicchetti of one History and Anthology of Italian Literature (Signorelli Editore) and dealt with dissemination at the Unitre of Genoa and Levanto. He currently holds conversations at the Quarto Civic Center on contemporary authors. He recently published School life, school of life which contains his memories of school from when he was a schoolboy onwards.
