Speaking at the microphones of Radio you are Franco Nanni one of the protagonists of Lazio’s Scudetto run in 74′, spoke about the celebration for the fiftieth anniversary of the title victory, scheduled for Sunday at the Olimpico and of the Biancocelesti’s moment of the season. These are his words.
“I will be happy to participate in the party on Sunday to celebrate 50 years of our championship. How can we miss it, we can’t wait another 50 years. it will be something unrepeatable. As I go around Rome everyone remembers what I’ve done, I think it depends on the fact that we were attached to the shirt, we were in contact with the people, there was the desire to reciprocate their love. We gave that little bit extra to make them happy. From a technical point of view, I believe that the great Lazio was shaped by Masterswas born before the start of the championship. We had started badly and as luck would have it, due to some absences, the coach revisited the team a bit. I was moved to midfield, a role in which I was then able to express my potential. Same thing happened to Martini who was diverted to fullback. Then the championship started like this, with Maestrelli finding some important adjustments. The rest was done by his intentions as a communicator and motivator. Lazio today? There is a lack of people of character, people like Wilson and Chinaglia who push, stimulate, get angry.
