Lando Norris spoke about his result at the end of the session qualifying for the Miami GP. The Brit arrived at the end of the last heat of the test in fifth place, after having done a little better in the first two parts. There’s still not much belief for the Woking team, which for now is still trying to understand the effectiveness of the new updates brought.

The qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix they ended for McLaren with a result not yet up to expectations. The timed session on the circuit that develops around the Hard Rock Stadium was not as expected for the Woking team, which showed up at the American stage equipped with numerous very interesting updates.
Ultimately, the starting grid for Sunday’s long race will feature Lando Norris starting from fifth position, while his teammate Oscar Piastri will start behind him. The MCL38 did not benefit from the new components, also due to the fact that the team wanted to install the technical innovations during the weekend with the sprint format.
In the moments immediately following the last checkered flag, the number #4 of the papaya team talked about his feeling during the test, a Sky Sports F1: “We have done better than yesterday in terms of management of the tyres, but we struggled a bit more with the car. We’ve made some changes, but potentially just not in the right direction. Yesterday I was much more confident than today, so yes, only a few things need to be reviewed. But obviously a better qualification is close. I think we should be higher. We did what we thought was right, but on the track sometimes things work a little differently. I wish I could change some things for tomorrow, but obviously we can’t.”
