Virtus Cermenate wins the Como derby against Cabiate 3-0 on the penultimate day of the championship.
The victory in the derby
Part ahead Cabiate in first set (1-3, 5-9). Cermenate scores at 9-9, but the guests regain the lead again (9-11, 11-14). The Virtussins react immediately (14-14), then it is balanced until 19-19, when coach Rutigliano’s team wins a good break that leads to the end (25-21).
The second set it’s all Cermenate who starts strong (6-1, 10-3) manages the advantage (15-6, 19-11) and ends the set 25-14.
The third set is the copy of the previous one with Cermenate who, after a slow start (0-4, 7-7), takes over the reins of the partial (9-7, 13-8, 20-9) going on to win 25-15 the half of the game and the match 3-0.
In the next round of the championshipthe last of the Cermenate season will visit Valmadrera on Saturday 11 May at 8.30 pm in Malgrate (LC).

“It certainly wasn’t a fascinating match, but it helped us at least take a breather for a moment and not force ourselves to maintain extremely high concentration every Saturday – said coach Rutigliano – It’s true that I expect you to approach every match with the right head, but it’s also true that if you slow down too much it’s difficult to keep your concentration high. We needed the three points and we got them peacefully. Now we are preparing for the last week of this championship in the hope of being able to get three points and then wait for the result in Besanaese. It’s not fake yet!”.
