CASALE – This Wednesday 8 May a Farmhouse a public meeting dedicated to Piedmontese healthcare will be held. The “Casale, really” coalition, which supports Riccardo Calvo as a candidate for mayor, he organized at 6pm at the Tartara Hall of Piazza Castello an appointment with the prof. Mauro Salizzoniworld-renowned liver surgeon.
Dr. Paolo Tofanini will also intervene as a speaker, who for many years directed the Santo Spirito with great competence during the period of greatest operation of the structure. Before the conclusions by the candidate for mayor Riccardo Calvo, the main critical issues and realistic solutions for Monferrato healthcare will be presented by some candidates of the coalition.
Doctor Salizzoni, graduated in Medicine and Surgery in Turin in 1973, subsequently specializing in General Surgery and Thoracic Pulmonary Surgery in 1981, then completing his specialist training in Paris and subsequently in Hanoi in Vietnam, worked for years in the team of liver transplantation at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), before becoming, in 1990, responsible for the liver transplant activity at Molinette in Turin and in 1993 director of the Liver Transplant Centre. Salizzoni also worked in Pittsburgh, Miami and Kyoto University.

Today he is a candidate in the College of the Province of Turin for a regional seat for the Democratic Party and, above all, indicated as a future Councilor for Health. A great opportunity for the Piedmontese to be able to block the creeping privatization of the Icardi-Cirio couple and give them back an efficient and accessible healthcare within logical times to the entire community”.
