Bad weather devastates Brazil: bridge suddenly collapses

Bad weather spreads and devastates Brazil. In the state of Rio Grande do Sul the incessant rains for the past eight days have caused at least 31 dead and 56 injured. It is an “apocalyptic scenario and the feeling is that the worst is yet to come”, said the consul general of Italy in Porto Alegre, Valerio Caruso. Right in Porto Alegre the Guaiba river has flooded (reaching the record level of 4.5 meters) and the entire city risks being covered by water.

The images also documented the sudden collapse of a bridge, with the flooded river literally swallowing the structure. These are terrible hours: experts say that it is the worst atmospheric event in the green-gold state in the last 84 years.
