The perpetrator was immortalized by video surveillance images of the area

It was the video surveillance images of the area that framed three people from Partinico aged 32, 37 and 17, all accused of damage followed by fire to a car parked in the city center of Alcamo. During a night patrol, the soldiers of the Carabinieri were alerted by the Fire Brigade about a car on fire, a Fiat Punto. Having arrived at the site of the fire, the Carabinieri stopped the 32-year-old who was running with a jerry can in his hand towards a car parked nearby, where two other people were waiting for him to escape and cover their tracks. Immediately after the investigations, the military proceeded to seize a lighter found on the 32-year-old during the personal search, noting that the can still contained traces of flammable liquid. Furthermore, video surveillance images were acquired which allegedly showed the 32-year-old setting fire to the car. The three will be interrogated to trace the reasons for the arson act
