The Guardian writes about Maradona’s death, a farewell that cannot find peace. A champion tormented even in the afterlife between continuous complaints, inheritance claims and new appraisals on the death of the Pibe de Oro.

Maradona’s post-death remains a toxic spectacle for now
The Guardian writes:
“There has already been a major inquest into his death by a 20-strong medical panel. In 2021 it was found that the medical team looking after him had acted “recklessly”. In April last year, Maradona’s doctor, Maradona’s neurosurgeon, Maradona’s psychiatrist, his psychologist, home assistant, healthcare coordinator and Maradona’s two head nurses were announced. Pibe’s neurosurgeon, Leopoldo Luque, has now commissioned a biased medical report. According to this report, Maradona died from an irregular heartbeat caused by an “external” source.with the news that someone unidentified gave him cocaine as he lay in what would become his deathbed“.
The court rejected this reconstruction. Doctor Luque is the one who announced in tears shortly after his death: «If I was responsible for anything with Diego, it was to love him». But then his WhatsApp messages with a business partner were leaked: «The fat man will eventually die».
Everything that has happened and will happen after Diego’s death is deeply sad:
