Night marked by a double theft of precious metals in the province of Arezzo, where two goldsmith companies were hit in the same way: the thieves, in fact, entered the companies thanks to a hole in the common wall with an adjacent company.
In the first case, the criminals broke into a company in the middle of the night Viciomaggioa hamlet of Civitella in Val di Chiana: despite the alarm being triggered, they managed to get away with it and stole approximately 700 grams of goldfor a total value of around 40 thousand euros. The Carabinieri are investigating the case.
Not even an hour later, in a company specializing in silver production in Chianicella area in Arezzo, according to an initial reconstruction, the thieves entered the company thanks to the construction site of another company undergoing renovation. In this way they dug a hole in the neighboring wall and, once inside, they took possession of a quantity of silver yet to be defined, but with a value of around 70 thousand euros.
Private security guards, the owners and the police arrived on site and are carrying out the investigation also thanks to the images from the cameras present.
