the gang abandons him, leaving him dying on the ground

A 36-year-old Romanian resident in Forlì was seriously injured, with an arm amputated, in an explosive attack on the ATM of the Riviera “Centro Diamante” branch in Cattolica. The incident occurred in the middle of the night between Friday and Saturday. The time of the robbery took place at 4: the gang, using the “marmot” technique, slipped the package with the explosive into the slot of the automatic teller machine. However, something went wrong with the trigger, so much so that one of the criminals, later identified as a 36-year-old Romanian resident in Forlì, was hit by the explosion.

While the “colleagues” fled, the seriously injured man remained on the ground, where he was found by the police who rushed to the scene following the explosion. The foreigner, rescued by 118 personnel, was urgently transported to the “Bufalini” where the doctors were unable to save the limb. Carabinieri investigations are underway to identify all the members of the gang. The damage to the branch structure was significant while, at the moment, it is not yet clear whether the criminals managed to remove the cash present in the safe.
